A Recap of IESCS from our founder, Twompson Prater.
Last weekend, we had the opportunity to showcase at the 26th Annual International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference (IECSC) in Las Vegas as a Premier Sponsor. We were really excited about the opportunity to be the only CBD skincare company there, but we had no idea that it was going to go as well as it did. Really!
It was amazing to have so many curious minds come up to our booth asking “What is CBD”. Many had heard about it but had no idea what it actually was. There was so much excitement as we educated these visitors on the benefits of CBD in our diet and skincare regimen and how our products could help serve their customers as well. Many even turned into customers themselves. By the end of the third day, my throat closed up. I lost my voice from talking to the thousands of people who visited our booth. It was that busy and fun.
Things also got pretty emotional. One of our ambassadors and advocates Meghan (the bubbly girl you see in the pic above), who runs She Sparkles On, joined us with her mother. For those of you who don’t know Meghan, she is one of the strongest woman I know, and most certainly a fighter. Meghan was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2015. It is the most horrific news anyone can receive, especially in their twenties. Given how strong chemo treatment is, and having to endure a double mastectomy, Meghan needed to find safe, natural alternatives to help improve her skin and immune system. She came across our products and we couldn’t help but support her throughout her treatment.
Meghan shared her very personal story about how RxCannaCare helped her recover and how CBD pretty much helped save her life. This story brought many of our visitors and staff to tears. Meghan’s mother also opened up about how much the products made a difference throughout her daughter’s treatment and the daily CBD regimen she followed to help Meghan recover.
Even more mindblowing was when one visitor, a mom of two kids, who had been going through chemo treatment herself was so empowered by Meghan’s story that she slid her wig off in public for the very first time. Just a short while later, she facetimed Meghan (who was still at the event) and with her two children beside her, took off her wig for the first time in their presence. We had no words.
People like Meghan, this visitor, and my sister, are the very reason why we went into business. And while many skincare companies are focused on beautifying people, we’re determined to help them get better and healthier. That’s because our customers don’t just desire CBD, they tell us that they need it. CBD is now becoming a leading alternative for many people and patients, especially those who are going through chemotherapy.
Now more than ever, awareness and education is imperative. The more stories and information we share, especially through educating new audiences like the one at IESCS, the more people we will help.
Tell us, do you have a story about how CBD has changed your life? Was there a time of dire need where you used our product and felt an immense feeling of relief? If so, we would love to hear from you.
